The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine concludes the annual cultural festival of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in its fourth edition..

Amid a wide presence, the fourth edition of the Annual Cultural Festival of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), held and sponsored by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in the Indian city of Bangalore, under the slogan: "Imam Ali (peace be upon him), the gateway of the Prophet's knowledge", with the participation of the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and of the two Imams Al-Kadhem and Al-Jawad (peace be upon all of them), was concluded on Monday 17th of Rajab 1437 AH corresponding to the 25th of Aprile, 2016.
The closing ceremony, which was held in the 'Askari Masjid and Hussaynya, began with the recitation of verses of the holy Quran by the international reader of the holy shrine of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), Haj. Usama Al-Karbalai, followed by many words of scholars from inside and outside Bangalore city, revolved about the personality and virtues of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), and thanking at the same time the holy shrines in Iraq for setting up such events that are expressing the extent of their commitment to comunicate with their brothers in India, from the lovers and followers of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
Sheikh Al-Hafiz 'Uthman the Imam of Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad in India has stated in his word: "We were honored last year to embrace the activities of this festival, which has left large positive impacts on the city's residents, that still resonate."
There were also the word of the delegate of the supreme religious authority in the Indian city of Mumbai; Sayed Ahmed Al-'Abidi, who has spoken about the honor to follow the path of Ahl Al Bayt (peace be upon them) and who has also stated: "We hope that our brothers and children of the people of Bangalore, have benefited of the holy shrines in this festival as it is a great opportunity. And we thank the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for continuing the establishment of this religious festival, that gathers all other holy shrines in Iraq under the umbrella of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
Then, the gifts, appreciation certificates and shields were distributed to all who have contributed to the success of the festival, and then conducting the draw for the religious competition held along the festival days and the announcement of the twelve winners who were six women and six men, who will be having the honor to visit the holy shrines in Iraq at the charge of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.
The ceremony was concluded by the word of the holy shrines in Iraq delivered by Sheikh Ali Al-Asadi who stated: "The divine blessings of the birth of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) stil gather us together. this man who was chosen by the Almighty to be born in the holy house of God ; Ka'bah, and to ends his holy life in another house of God; Masjid Al-Kufa. And so his life was all geared for the sake of God, seeking His blessing by the worship, ascetism, devout and jihad in the name of God. This is the least we can say about Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and his position in this world and which is greater in the hereafter, as he is created from the prophet's light and then from Allah's light. Thus, the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) is the light of Allah and His face on earth. And we all love Ali; the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) as he is a gift for the whole mankind."
Then he added: "Thanks to all who sought and contributed to the success of the activities of this festival, and the thanks also go to the people of this city. And I would life to convey to you the greetings of the High Responsible of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Ahmed Al-Safi, who has prayed for the people of this city and asked them to not forget in their prayers their brothers in Iraq, who are defending its land and holy places."
