To commemorate the second anniversary of the Fatwa of the sufficient duty of Jihad: The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine launches the first cultural festival for the Fatwa of the sufficient duty of Jihad..

Under the slogan: "With the ink of scholars and th blood of martyrs, we protect the land of PRophets", the first annual festival of the Fatwa of the sufficient duty of Jihad, held by the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, was launched on Thursday the 18th Sha'ban 1437 AH corresponding to the 26th May 2016, to commemorate the second anniversary of the Fatwa of the sufficient duty of Jihad, which was launched by the supreme religious authority Sayed Ali Al-Hussayni Al-Sistani.
The opening ceremony of the festival, which was held at the hall of Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him), was attended by many religious, cultural and academic figures from inside and outside the holy city of Karbala, as well as the representatives of the holy shrine. It started by the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran by the international reader Sayed Hasanein Al-Helo, followed by reading the Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq, then the national Iraqi anthem and the anthem of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine "The melody of Pride."
Followed by the word of the High Responsible of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed. Ahmed Al-Safi, in which he stated: "The positive power represents the protecting shield, either for the religion or ideology or honor. Thus, the mental and physical aspect of the human make him having the tools for the self-defense instinct, which is a innate instinct that all creature have. So when the person is exposed to danger, he try to defend himself..."
Followed by a poem of the poet 'Awdah Dahi Al-Tamimi, entitled "Hashd Allah", in which he has described the championship and victories of the forces of the volunteers of the popular mobilization, and how they have answered the call of the homeland and the religious authority for the defense of Iraq and its holy places.
Then, the dedicated website for documenting the victories and championship of our security forces and the volunteers of the popular mobilization was launched, the head of the Internet Division at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine -the supervising authority for its design and programming- has given a detailed and illustrated explanation about this website.
Then, it was time for the theater play "I do not read silently", played by the Al-Kafeel band of theater at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which is an intellectual and argumentational play about the history and how it has been falsified by the writers of sultans, and how many important historical facts have disappeared, in particular with regard to Imams of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and what happened to their lovers and followers. The play was directed by the theater director Mr. Hussain Al-'Abbadi, making the dialogue events happen between the history books and the reader of these books, a dramatic opus in which the director excelled in showing it in a very beautiful way, impressing all the attendees.
The attendees then headed to the opening of the gallery of photos and artwork, one of the activities of this festival.
