The finishing touches for the installation of the mirror pieces of the inner surface of the roofing project of the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him)..

With tireless, serious and vigorous efforts and endeavour, the works continue to put the finishing touches on one of the most important parts of this project, namely glazing and covering the shrine's secondary ceilings with pieces of stained-glass, which is one of the finishing phases of this project, which falls within the most important project of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine on the service level; the expansion project of the shrine of the Master Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

Al-Kafeel Network has met with Engineer Dea Majeed Al-Sa'egh, head of the engineering projects departments at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, who has stated: "The works continues by installing mirror pieces on the surfaces and the internal parts of the roof according to the installed decors' measurements such as the Muqarnas, bridges or domes. These works are in their final stages in the Qibla gate in the side overlooking the palm gate."

He added: "The works on this part (Qibla gate), which we have started months ago, needs greater accuracy as it is different from the rest of the holy shrine parts, because it is including decorative pieces that are different from the previous parts and it do not contain domes, which requires an additional and precise effort and accuracy in the execution according the time and operational plans according to each project's phase."

It is worth mentioning that the covering operation is conducted according to the plan developed by the executing company "Ard Al-Qods company for constructions", under the supervision of the engineering projects department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, including the multiple parts of the holy shrine, So that each part is accomplished separately within the temporal and spatial plan that has been prepared for this purpose without intersections with the movement of the visitors. As well as to ensure the continuity of the work and its execution with accuracy and within the appointed time.

The mirror pieces are of Belgian origin and with high quality specifications, as its thickness ranges to 2 mm. They are characterized by the durable color and the resistance to extreme circumstances. They have been cut using CNC technique, and it has been taken into account in the selection of the colors and forms, the harmony and symmetry with the architecture of the holy sanctuary and the landmarks of the holy shrine in a contemporary and modern way. In addition to a special type of glue chosen to paste the mirrors by competent Iraqi cadres.
