More than 12 thousand students conclude their summer Quranic courses at the holy sanctuary of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him)

The sixth edition of the summer Quranic courses, which was held by the Institute of the Holy Quran at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine with the participation of more than twelve thousand students from various Iraqi provinces within the Quranic orientations of the holy shrine, aiming to promote and entrench the culture of the Holy Quran and the approach of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in the different segments of the society especially school students, was concluded on Wednesday 13th Dhu Al-Qi'dah 1437 AH corresponding to the 17th of August 2016 at the holy sanctuary of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

The closing ceremony, which was attended by the high responsible of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Ahmed al-Safi and a number of the religious and cultural figures in addition to large numbers of graduated students and their parents, began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran followed by one of the graduates of this session.

The Director of the Institute of the Holy Quran at the holy shrine, Sheikh Jawad Al-Nasrawi has stated in his word: "The project of the summer Quranic courses is one of the important and essential projects at the Institute of the Holy Quran, which was given great importance by the General Secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, led by Sayed Al-Safi, to make it a priority in the activities of the holy shrine, because it is a correct way to educate and refine this blessed generation. This project includes many classes, such learning the holy Quran, jurisprudence and faith, as well as theology and Islam pillars in general in addition to lessons in morals, teaching how to perform the prayer along with the ablutions, Ghusl and tayammum."

Stating: "These sessions during this year were entitled "Light's rings, after the manufacture of the new grid of the sanctuary of the Master Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him)."

The word of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine was delivered by Sayed Adnan Gelokhan Al-Musawi from the Department of the religious affairs, explaining the link between the Holy Quran and Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) who are the only protector of the Holy Book..

Then, a documentary film abou the previous summer courses was displayed, to explain the activities and the great efforts made by the Institute of the Holy Quran for their success. Followed by a mass recitation of the Holy Quran by a number of the graduates of the national project of the prince of readers held by the mentioned institute at the holy shrine.

Then came the word of graduates of the summer Quranic courses delivered on their behalf by the student Ali Muslim, in which he has thanked the great efforts harnessed by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the Institute of the Holy Quran to involve and adopt them within these courses. Followed by some Religious stanzas [Muwashshahat] chanted by one of the graduates on these courses. The ceremony was then concluded by reading Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs heroes of Iraq from the security forces and the popular mobilization.

It is worth mentioning that the Institute of the Holy Quran, in addition to holding Quranic evenings and festivities, holds each year summer courses to teach the Holy Quran in all its branches in the Iraqi provinces.
