Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine launches the First International Conference of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him)

The hall of Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him) for conferences and seminars at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has embraced on Thursday morning the 21st Dhu Al-Qi'dah 1437 corresponding to the 25th of August 2016, the opening ceremony of the first international conference of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) under the slogan: "The Hussayni renaissance is the beacon of the humanitarian integration", held by the Al-'Ameed international centre for research and studies of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Karbala university and the Iranian Foundation "Samat" for the study and authoring books of university Humanities, and with the participation of a number of researchers from inside and outside Iraq, and which will last for two days.

The conference, which was attended by the Secretary General of the holy shrine, the Board of Directors and a number of religious and cultural figures in addition to a large gathering od researchers and academics, began with the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran and reading Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq, followed by the word of the Secretary General of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, Sayed Mohammad Al-Ashiqar, in which he stated:

"This conference is a real breakthrough to consolidate the concepts and principles of the Hussayni Renaissance, as it came to correct the false ethical theories in most of its aspects to become a beacon for everyone who wants to lecture, compose or found a moral theory or classify in its complex fields, as the approach of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) is timeless and new over the centuries and days, this case is still providing us with the tender, power, determination and ability..."

Followed by the word of the committee supervising the conference, delivered by the president of Karbala University; Mr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, who said: "We are delighted and honoured to welcome the guests of the thought of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) in Karbala, as Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) gather us with his values and heroism and stimulates i us the thought and word. Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) is a school from which the devotees learn especially those who painstakingly research. And today, we want to pass from the glare of passion, tears of lovers and humanity on the ordeal of Islam by the martyrdom of the Master of martyrs (peace be upon him) to raise our thought commensurate with the personality and the sacrifice of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), in order to build us a platform of life, fight against corruption and injustice, and found a society in which justice and noble values reign..."

Then Dr. Hussayn Hajeri from the Iranian foundation "samat" has delivered the word on behalf of the participating delegations, stating: "The personality of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) is beyond one religion, as his thoughts became a beacon to the whole world… And the research about the goals of his uprising and his great heritage, as it helps the Muslim nation to get out of the situation experienced now..."

There was also the word of the conference in English language delivered by the Assistant Professor Haidar Ghazi Al-Mussawi, after which the research session was opened.
