The preparations of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine to celebrate the blessed Eid of Al-Ghadeer.

Decorations manifesting joys were spread inside and outside the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), to celebrate the greatest Eid of God; Eid Al-Ghadeer, which is one of the greatest Eids and celebrations of Muslims, as it is the third Eid after Eid Al-Fitr and Al-Adha. It is narrated that the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) said: "The day of Ghadeer Khum is the best Eid for my nation, and it is the day that Allah ordered me to appoint Ali bin Abi Taleb as the flag so that my nation would be guided by him after me. And it is the day that Allah perfected the religion and completed His favour and accepted Islam as a religion for the people." This year, it coincides with Tuesday 18th of the holy month of Dhu Al-Hijjah.

On this great occasion, the devotees renew their allegiance to the Commander of the Faithful Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (peace be upon him), who became the Master of every believing man and woman since that moment in which the Holy Prophet (Allah's prayers be upon him and upon his holy Household) the arm of Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (peace be upon both of them) and raised his hand by his hand and declared him in that glorious day the master of Muslims. The holy sanctuary was decorated by holy prophetic narrations and sayings about this occasion, and the beautiful and bright colours adorn the walls of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine from inside to reflect the festive atmosphere of this great occasion.

On the other hand, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has prepared a celebration program to revive this Eid, in alignment with the value and place of this occasion in the hearts of the lovers and followers of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) including several activities.

It is to mention that the glorious Eid Al-Ghadeer is the greatest Eid of God, the Eid of Aal Mohammad (peace be upon them) and it is the greatest of Eids. Imam As-Sadeq (peace be upon him) has said about it: "Allah has not sent any prophet but that he celebrated this day as Eid and was aware of its sanctity. It is known in the heavens as ‘The Day of the Famous Covenant’… You might think that Allah, the mighty and the majestic, has created a day more sacred than that. No, by Allah! No, by Allah! No, by Allah!"
