For the fifth year in a row: The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine honors to the top students in Iraqi universities.

To support the top students, to encourage them to make more efforts and excel in the service of this country and to instil the spirit of perseverance, excellence and knowledge in them, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for the fifth year in a row has honored the top students from the graduates of Iraqi universities for the past academic year (2015-2016), which included about 300 students from various Iraqi provinces, and which is held within the activities of the Al-Kafeel national youth project adopted by the Division of university relations at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and which is held on Friday afternoon the 19th of Jumada al-Ula 1438 AH corresponding to the 17th of February 2017.

The ceremony, which was held at the complex of Sheikh al-Kulayni of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, has a broad attendance led by the High Responsible of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; his eminence Sayed Ahmed al-Safi and a number of members of the holy shrine's board in addition to the representatives and top students of Iraqi universities as well as dozens of media.

The ceremony began by the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran by the Reader Amru al-Ula al-Kifa'i from the division of University Relations, followed by the national anthem of the Republic of Iraq and the official anthem of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine "Melody of Pride", followed by the word of Secretariat General of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine delivered by its High Responsible; Sayed Ahmed Al-Safi. And then came the word of the Iraqi universities delivered on their behalf by Professor Abd al-Kadhem Ja'far al-Yasiri; head of the Middle Euphrates Technical University.

Then, the poet Ali al-Saffar from the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has delivered a national poem entitled "I am Iraq" chanting about the purest patriotism, followed by the participation of Radood Mohamad Tamimi who chanted religious stanzas. Then the ceremony was concluded by honoring the top students in addition to their universities.

The honored students have expressed their joy in these moments, amid the elite of the top students and the distinguished attendance of the teaching staff from the various Iraqi universities especially that this tribute is carried out by the blessings of the Master Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him). They have also expressed their thanks and gratitude to those in charge of this ceremony; because it gave them the opportunity to come to the holy city of Karbala, and also to meet with the top students from the other universities of our beloved Iraq, as it is a special initiative that leaves a positive impression in their hearts and the care and attention given to them is an encouragement for them to persevere and continue their progress.
