The pavement works of the roads in the Al-Abbas's (p) residential compound

The technical and engineering staff working in the project of the Al-Abbas's (p) residential compound of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine allocated to its employees, have started the roads' pavement works with asphalt, which is one of its final stages, according to the statement of the head of the engineering projects department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Engineer Dea' Majeed Al-Sa'egh, who added: "The project has reached its final stages and this stage is only one of them."

He continued: "Paving roads is conducted depending on the technical specifications using the latest asphalt mixtures to ensure the comfort and safety for all users in line with the need of such project, and in accordance with the agreed plans with the executing company, a special plan was developed for the implementation of these works according to the four parts of this project, consisting of 50 streets, the width of each street vary between 10 meters for the sub-street and 30 meters for the main street, for a total of 12 kilometers."

Indicating: "The works of paving roads passed through several stages, as after the completion of the infrastructure for the project, which has included streams of rainwater and sewage, the paving works were launched, including:

1- A field survey for all the streets to measure their height, the horizontal elevations and curves.

2- Putting a layer of clean soil to form a protecting layer to the underneath tubes.

3- Putting a layer of gritting.

4- Adjustment of all roads and strengthening weak areas if any.

5- Covering these layers with Asphalt.

6- Putting a thick coarse layer of 5 cm.

7- Adjustment works to ensure the adhesion.

8- Putting another layer of soft pebbles with a thickness of 5 cm.

9- Final adjustment.

10- Conducting a field-testing to measure its sustainability and its suitability to the specifications."

He continued: "These works are conducted at an accelerated pace with precision and professionalism, while ensuring the safety and security on the road."

It is worth mentioning that the objective of the establishment of this project is to appreciate and value the effort being made by the employees of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in the service of the visitors of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and in order to provide them with a decent housing in line with the housing evolution in the world. The house will be distributed with supported price and comfortable instalments.
