In pictures: The masses of visitors commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) at his holy shrine.

With grieving hearts filled with sadness and sorrow and teary eyes, the holy city of the Najaf was packed with millions of visitors who came to the shrine of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Taleb (peace be upon him) to commemorate his martyrdom anniversary from inside and outside Iraq, coinciding with yesterday night; Friday 20th of the holy month of Ramadan 1438 AH corresponding to the 16th of June, 2017, to renew their loyalty pledge and eternal allegiance to stay on his true approach and sound way. The roads leading to the holy shrines were swarmed with the Hussayni service processions that has provided various services to the visitors from Iftaar and Suhur meals in addition to condolence processions from inside and outside the holy city of Najaf. Noting that the security, service and media staffs have harnessed all their efforts to provide the various services to the visitors.

Governor of Najaf, Louay al-Yassiri has explained in turn that more than three million Iraqi visitors and 150 thousand Arab and foreign visitors have performed the Ziyarat rituals at the holy shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).
