The commemoration of the third night of al-Qadr at the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them).

The night of the 22/23rd of the blessed month of Ramadan is the third night of al-Qadr, which is better than the previous two nights, as stated in many narrations stating that it is the night of al-Qadr, which is the best of nights, and the work during it is better than the work of a thousand months, in which the fate of the coming year is appointed and the angel and the great spirit is descended by the Will of Allah, to go to the Imam of the Order and the Time (peace be upon him). And in addition to the general acts of the three nights of al-Qadr, there are special acts to perform. The believers have commemorated this blessed night in the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) in Karbala, to join the spirituality of the place that is the best on earth and the blessings of the best night of all.

The believers have commemorated this night in many places within the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them) and the area between them and the squares and adjacent areas, to perform the worship acts including reciting the holy Quran, performing the prayer and reading the recommended Duas by Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), such as praying the Almighty for hastening the reappearance of Imam of Order and the Time (peace be upon him), and to protect Iraq and its people, and bestow His mercy upon the martyrs of the security forces and the popular mobilization, heal their wounded and make their fighters come back to their families with the final victory and the liberation of the rest of its land.

All service departments in the holy shrines have mobilized all their efforts to provide comfort for the visitors from blankets, cold water, filling libraries with Holy Quran and books of supplications and Ziyarat, providing transport busses from the inspection points to the nearest point to the holy shrines and vice versa.

According to the narration: "The twenty-third night of the month of Ramadhan is the one when every weighty matter is decided, when trials, tribulations, deaths, and means of sustenance and other matters are determined, and so will whatever Allah decrees to take place for the entire next year; so, congratulations to anyone who remains awake during it bowing, prostrating, contemplating upon his sins, weeping on their account, for if you do all of that, God willing, you will never be disappointed."
