The elderly have a daily presence at the recited Quranic Khatma of the sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

A month loved and chosen by Allah to reveal in it His holy Book to his beloved creature, and to be a fragrance for worshipping Him and so people may make their behaviors and morals better ones to be guided to the path of salvation from the torment of an irreversible day.

The relationship with the Holy Quran is a special one, and the desire in reading and listening it is not limited to an age group without the other. And the elderly did not hesitate to attend daily to participate in the Quranic Khatma that is held daily in the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and it is more like a Quranic tradition that they have been practicing for years, and you see them present before the start of the Quranic Khatma to interact with lot of attention to every verse of the Holy Quran.

The Institute of the Holy Quran at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has prepared Qurans with clear lines, legible and in large size to allow them to read it easily, in addition to chairs for those who cannot sit on the floor, and focusing on dividing the reading times of the Juz' that is read daily at appropriate times without causing them fatigue.

It is noteworthy that the Quranic recited Khatma is one of the most important activities of the Institute of the Holy Quran at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine during the holy month of Ramadan, and it is held in the holy sanctuary of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), in which one Juz' per day is read by known readers amid a large presence.
