The al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad announces the end of its duty in the Samarra walls operations and confirms that Balad and Dujayl will remain resistant to terrorists.

The al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad announced the end of its duty in the Samarra walls operations to clear the areas of Sayed Gharib, al-Farhatiyah and al-Rafay’at and albu 'alool, located in the west of the cities of Balad and Dujayl, and secure them after the security breaches in the region in the past period.

The Squad stated that during this operation and within its southern axis with the participation of the 74th brigade of the Iraqi army, the following was achieved:

1- Clearing and inspection of more than 80 square kilometers.

2- Destruction of a Mudafa of the ISIL gangs.

3- Acquisition of mortar launchers in al-Rafay'at.

4- Engineering team of the squad: Dismantling a group of IEDs placed in the roads and orchards of the cities of Sayed Gharib and Balad.

The squad leadership has confirmed that the cities of Balad and Dujayl will remain resistant to terrorists, and our forces will pursue their criminal remnants wherever they may be.

It is worth mentioning that the operations of "Samarra Walls" were launched this morning with the participation of the emergency regiment and the police of Dujayl district, aiming to secure the areas after the repeated security violations in the past period.
