In preparation for its battle to liberate al-Huwayjah, the al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad calls two thousand fighters from its reserve forces.

The leadership of the al-Abbas's (p) Fighting Squad has called two thousand fighters from the reserve forces to prepare for the battle to liberate the Huwayjah district that was launched Thursday 29th of Dhu Al-Hijjah 1438 AH corresponding to the September 21, 2017, from the left coast of the Shergat district and its surrounding areas.

It stated: "3500 fighters will be involved in the battle, from the brigade associated with the Ministry of Defense represented by the Armored Brigade, the 26th brigade of the popular mobilization, three regiments of the elite, the artillery and missile support battalion, the squadron of the aircraft, the sniper squadron and the units of engineering, electronics, medical and others.

Stressing that the battle will be resolved in record time - God willing- as is the case of other battles in which the heroes of the al-Abbas's (p) fighting Squad have participated in response to the Fatwa of the holy defense.

It is worth mentioning that the Peshmerga forces have participated with the Squad in the last battle to liberate al-Bashir Kasbah, and this was the first joint participation between the popular mobilization forces and the Peshmerga forces in one axis to liberate the land of Iraq, to which they belong and that are defending it. This battle was described being a model battle.
