A delegation from the Faculty of Medicine at the Kufa University visits the al-'Ameed University and sees its preparations for the new academic year.

Within the series of visits and tours by academic and scientific figures and delegations from inside and outside Iraq to the al-'Ameed University, it had recently received a delegation representing the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Kufa in order to see the preparations for the reception of students for the new academic year in its three faculties (Faculty of Medicine - Faculty of Dentistry - College of Nursing).

The visiting delegation, which was accompanied by the university president and a number of its supervisors, had a tour in the classrooms, laboratories and service facilities of the university and listened to a brief explanation about it and about its medical and laboratory equipment.

The Director of the Medical Education Unit at the University of Kufa, Dr. Wissam al-Lami said, "The purpose of the visit is to see the preparations and equipment at al-'Ameed University, where we toured its halls and classrooms and noted that the preparations are very excellent as well as the quality of medical equipment in the university's laboratories."

As for the Assistant Director of the Medical Education Unit at the University of Kufa, Dr. Haidar Al-Athari, he added that "the logistical preparations for the reception of students for the new academic year and the halls and laboratories have been very excellent and meet the ambition as it has developed within the plan of accommodating students in proportion to the size of their classrooms and this makes the success rate of the educational process very large, meaningful and positive."

It is to note that the al-'Ameed University has contracts with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Kufa, including that the approach adopted at the University is an integrated and unified approach, which is based on the approach of the British University of Leicester.

It is noteworthy that the al-'Ameed University established by the Higher Education Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine completed its preparations to receive the students who are applying for study in its three faculties (Faculty of Medicine - Faculty of Dentistry - Faculty of Nursing) for the new academic year 2017 - 2018 according to the admissions regulations prescribed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
