The Islamic Knowledge and Humanity Affairs Department launches its application on smart phones.

The technical staff working in the Internet Division of the Department of Intellectual and cultural Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine completed the design and programming of an application on smart phones working with Android systems as a first step, the iOS system will follow. This application is about the activities of the Islamic Knowledge and Humanity Affairs Department at the holy shrine.

The application allows its users to see the latest news, activities and events of the Department of Islamic Knowledge and Humanity Affairs, to be a communication link between the Department and its followers in addition to its official website. This comes as part of the plan of the Department to develop its services and to keep abreast with the latest development through modern technologies.

The application includes doors including: news of the Department, its publications and the news and activities of its centers, as well as a photo and audio galleries.

IT is to note that the Department of Islamic and Human Knowledge Affairs is one of the Departments of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, which deals with cultural and knowledge aspects of all segments of society by disseminating the thoughts of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) through its divisions and various centers, namely the Institute of the Holy Quran for men and the other one for women, Karbala Heritage Center, Hillah Heritage Center, Basra Heritage Center, Al-Kafeel Women Religious Schools and the Division of the Knowledge Media. The Department aims to activate the knowledge activity in its various aspects to most segments of society.
