The al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is conducting Covid-19 test for its staffs.

The Medical Affairs Division at the al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine has begun conducting the Covid-19 test to its staffs, in order to strengthen preventive measures and preserve the safety of the staffs and visitors.

This campaign is including all the staffs following a plan developed for this purpose, which includes 50 to 100 tests every day in cooperation with the Karbala Health Department.

This is what was reported to the al-Kafeel Network, by the division's official, Dr. Osama Abdel-Hassan, who added: “Since the first moments of the outbreak of this pandemic, preventive and precautionary measures have been taken to limit as much as possible the spread of this virus, in a way that contributes to maintaining the safety of the visitor and the staff alike. A specialized cell has been formed to supervise and follow up these procedures, which include to carry out this campaign that starts with the approach of the winter season. This campaign aims to search for the affected ones who do not show symptoms to reduce their contacts."

He indicated: “This is a preventive health campaign that takes place in one of the halls of the Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) field medical center, under the supervision of a specialized medical staff. The shrine’s staffs are divided in form of groups of (50) to (100) persons. Then the PCR swabs are taken and sent to the health department's laboratory in the governorate. Once the results are received, the subjects are informed, and appropriate measures are taken in the event of any infection - God forbid -."

He concluded: "The campaign also included educating the staffs about the prevention of the Covid-19 and other communicable diseases, and urging them to fully adhere to the health instructions issued by the competent authorities."
