The condolence processions from inside and outside Karbala flocked to the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) since the early morning hours of Saturday (13th Jumada II 1441 AH) corresponding to February 8, 2020, in order to extend their condolences on the death anniversary of his beloved mother; the venerable lady, example of utmost loyalty and selflessness, Oum al-Baneen (peace be upon her).
This is a condolence custom that the condolences processions used to commemorate during these days. This was explained by the head of the Hussayni processions and rituals at the holy shrines of Al-Hussayn and of Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them); Hajj Riyad Ni'mah Al-Salman, to the Al-Kafeel Network about these rituals, saying: "The movement of the condolence processions at the death anniversary of lady Om al-Baneen (peace be upon her) start one or two days before the death anniversary and continue until the thirteenth of Jumada II, where the condolence processions from inside and outside Karbala lock to the holy shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and of his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them).
He added: "This is a customary condolence that has been accustomed to since ancient times, and the employees of our department are working to organize the movement of their march, whereby entering the processions is through the Qibla gate of the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), so they extend their condolences to him and then they head to the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), passing through the square between the Two Holy Shrines, all with the participation of the visitors.
It is noteworthy that the starting point of these processions is from the street of Qibla of the shrine of Abs al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), to stand in front of his holy shrine, extending their condolences to him with a condolence council in which they recall glimpses of her life (peace be upon her). The processions will continue to march afterwards towards the shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).
