Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) Fighting Squad (brigade / 26 popular mobilization), in cooperation with Khair Al-Joud Company, launched al-'Ata campaign for spraying sterilization using drones.
The squad's supervisor, Maitham Al-Zaidi, explained to the al-Kafeel network: "Today (15 March 2020) the spraying sterilization campaign was launched by the drones that the Squad developed a week ago, to be used in spraying pesticides and controlling plant pests."
He added: "In view of the health crisis the country is going through to prevent Corona virus, sterilizing disinfectants have been used in cooperation with Khair Al-Joud Company to confront and reduce the spread of the virus."
Noting: "The first stage of the campaign, which was called (Al-Ataa), was an aerial passage for the vital area in the holy city of Karbala and the area around the holy sites."
Stressing: "This work comes as part of a series of ongoing actions and campaigns of the squad in cooperation with the civil defense in the holy city of Karbala, and at the request of the local government in it, and we will continue to spray sterilization in the city center and the neighborhoods of the province."
He explained: "This work came as part of the Squad's participation in the major campaign of sterilization for the governorate center and the neighboring neighborhoods that were instructed by the competent medical authorities, and that were executed by the holy shrines, especially the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine. And we will invest the local government's announcement to ban the movement of vehicles and pedestrians in the next three days in order to spray sterilization as much space as possible. "
It is noteworthy that the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has begun to implement the plan for the campaign of sterilization launched by the Committee to follow up the preventive measures formed by it, which targets the vicinity of the Holy Shrine and the Old City with its streets, alleys and markets.
