The percentage of achievement in the ablution and cemetery site for those affected with coronavirus in Karbala reaches 70%.

The staff of the Abbas (peace be upon him) Fighting Squad (brigade / 26 popular mobilization) continues its work to build an ablution site and a cemetery for the deceased by the Corona virus, in the Wadi Karbala (the place of burial of the dead), where the work is conducted under the guidance of the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; His Eminence Sayed Ahmad Al-Safi under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine, and in coordination with the Karbala Municipality, which allocated the specific area for this cemetery, and according to the general health and safety rules recommended by the relevant authorities.

The total area of ​​the ablution site and the cemetery is nine dunums, of which two dunums are for the ablution rooms and its accessories, such as a building, car park, rest hall, water and drainage tanks, and seven dunums dedicated for the cemetery.

A member of the Crisis Cell in the Abbas (peace be upon him) Fighting Squad; Mr Hazem Fadel, stated: "The percentage of accomplishment of the ablution site and the cemetery of the deceased by the Corona virus in Karbala reached 70%, and we are close to completing the work in it."

With regard to the role of the Squad's staffs after the establishment of the ablution site and the cemetery, he said: "We will not only build the ablution site and the cemetery, but our staff in the Squad in cooperation with government agencies will participate after the completion of the ablution site and the cemetery in receiving the bodies and the subsequent procedures for washing, shrouding and burial."
