The launch of the activities of the Fifth Annual Women's Media Forum

The activities of the Fifth Virtual Media Forum, organized by the unit of the Riyad Al-Zahraa Magazine in the Women's Library Division of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, in cooperation with the al-Ameed and al-Kafeel universities, were launched on Saturday evening (11 Dhu al-Hijjah 1441 AH) corresponding to (1 August 2020). The Forum was held this year on the Internet via the webinar under the title: (Riyadh Al-Zahra - peace be upon her - the icon of committed feminist media), through the zoom could program)
To get acquainted with the parts of the forum, Mrs. Asmaa Al-Abadi, the official of the Women's Library Division stated to the al-Kafeel Global Network: “The forum was opened with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the national hymn and the "Pride Tune", and a welcoming word from the head of the Department of Intellectual Affairs, during which he praised the efforts made by the sisters organizing this meeting. "
She added: "Sayed. Adnan Al-Musawi, Director of the Office of the Senior Officer and the Secretary-General of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine presented a poem followed by a virtual Ziyarat of the Master Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) by the distinguished participants, then discussion of the researches participating in the forum started, followed by reading the interventions received via chat, and finally, a review of the book exhibition that was presented as a documentary film prepared by the women's library staff in cooperation with the Manuscript Restoration Center. "
It is noteworthy that the forum is one of the distinguished activities of the Women's Library Division, and it comes among many activities that were held online this year, given the conditions in which society lives today, and looks forward to providing the best.
It is reported that the forum aims to:
1- Diagnosing the social problems that society suffers from, and finding sound and effective solutions to them.
2- Providing the scientific library with solid feminist research that sheds light on the problems the society is going through, finding scientific solutions and methods to deal with them.
3- Discussing human rights, civil culture, and peaceful coexistence in society.
4- Determining the reality of educational institutions and the mechanism for developing them.
5- Diagnosing the problems that the education community suffers from in Iraq.
6- The reality of media and societal development in Iraq.
7- Discussing the supportive roles that the media can play in light of Iraq's current social and economic conditions.
8- Looking forward to the future of developmental media in light of the rapid developments in the committed feminist world of media.
9- Learn about the nature of the relationship between the media and society.
