An invitation to participate in the online course for cataloging Arabic manuscripts according to the (RDA) rules and the MARC 21 standard

The Indexing and Information Systems Center of the Library and Manuscripts House of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine invited those interested, specialists, and those wishing to develop their professional skills to participate in the course that it will organize electronically tagged (indexing Arabic manuscripts according to the RDA rules and the MARC 21 standard), through the (ZOOM Cloud) program, next Tuesday (21 Dhu al-Hijjah 1441 AH) corresponding to (August 11, 2020), and it will last for two days from five o'clock to seven in the evening. The center invited indexers who wish to participate and those interested in this field to register their names.
This is what the director of the aforementioned center, Mr. Hassanein Al-Mousawi, explained to the al-Kafeel Network, adding: “Our center is still continuing to organize its activities and events electronically, and has prepared its own curriculum, setting a number of topics needed during this period. And today, the course to be organized is of great importance (the indexing of Arabic manuscripts according to the rules of the RDA and the MARC 21 standard)."
Indicating: “The course in which the cataloger Ali Talib will lecture comes in order to empower workers in the field of artistic work within the latest international standards that have proven their success and effectiveness, whether in a library and the manuscripts house of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine or in other institutions. Our staffs contributed to the transfer of this experience in this field".
