Iraqi tribes led by the tribe of Bani Asad conclude the procession commemorating the burial of the holy corpses of the at-Taf martyrs.

This condolences ritual of the tribe of Bani Asad on the thirteenth of the holy month of Muharram, is a commemoration of what their ancestors did of rituals to bury the holy bodies, after remaining in the desert for three days under the burning sun, after that the heads were decapitated and the captives were taken to the Levant [Sham], and the holy bodies were left unburied. So, this is one of the important days in the hearts of the people of Karbala, because it represents the burial anniversary of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) and all the martyrs in At-Taf.

Thus as usual in every year, on the thirteenth of Muharram, the Karbalai tribes commemorate this sad anniversary by walking in a procession of the tribes of Karbala headed by the tribe of Bani Asad, which had the honor in the year 61 AH to help Imam as-Sajjad (peace be upon him) to bury the holy martyrs' bodies that quenched the land of Karbala by their pure blood in the great tragedy of the battle of At-Taf.

Other tribes coming to the holy city of Karbala, have participated in these rituals, they were organized in groups dressed in Arab traditional clothes walking to revive this ritual. They were preceded by groups of women who came from inside and outside the holy city of Karbala.

This condolence procession, which reminds the attendees of the tragedy, carried a coffin representing the coffin of Aba Abdillah al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) covered with blood, headless, and full of arrows and surrounded from all sides by white birds in a scene representing the burial of the holy bodies.

After the prayer of Dhuhr, thousands of mourners joined the great condolences' procession; the procession of Bani Asad in the sanctuary of Sayed Jawda in southwest of Karbala, heading towards the road of Qibla of Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) up to the holy shrine then to the area between the two holy shrines, and parade is concluded at the shrine of Standard-Bearer of Imam al-Hussayn; Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon both of them).

The procession that lasted for hours, has started by the mourning women groups, who headed the procession, staining their heads and faces with mud, which is a ritual done by women who have lost their beloved ones. Followed by groups of tribes' men led by a symbolic coffin representing the coffin of the Master of martyrs (peace be upon him) and crowds of mourners then groups carrying pickaxes and shovels to recreate the scene of the burial of the holy bodies and to recall the incident. Slogans of loyalty and fortitude to follow the Hussayni approach, drawn by the masters of martyrs; Imam Al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) by his holy blood since one thousand and four hundred years in the holy city of Karbala.

Besides this, the department of the rituals and procession to deploy its staff with the rest of the employees of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine to receive these procession, by opening entries and exits in order to achieve high smooth flow. Also a large number of people of Karbala and Hussayni processions have prepared the required supplies to perform these rituals.

And so, another day passes with its tragic events embodied by the Hussayni epic by the pure blood of our immortal imam, which principles will remain forever a beacon for all the faithful and the free people around the globe, and his shrine became a "Qibla" for the believers and his lovers.
