Cabins for automatic sterilization in the visitor service compounds and cities of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine

The cadres of the maintenance and engineering construction department at the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine have installed self-operating sterilization cabins at the entrances to the visitor service complexes and cities of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, one for entry and one for exit, as part of its medical plan in a way that contributes to strengthening preventive and precautionary measures against the Corona epidemic.

The official of the construction works division of the aforementioned department, Eng. Muhammad Mustafa al-Tawil, spoke to the al-Kafeel network about this work, saying: “The self-operating sterilization cabin is designed and implemented by the department's staff, and its height is (2.20 cm) with an area of ​​(6 m2) to allow more than one visitor to pass at a time. And it works on spraying a sterile medical materials through (Fogger) sprinklers installed in the ceiling of the cabin, allowing it to cover all parts of the body and sterilizing the visitor's clothes in a short period not exceeding 20 seconds, and it also contains Motion Sensors that enable the self-operation of the sprinklers. "

He added: "The number of sprinklers per cabinet reaches 30 sprays, which are tiny nozzles capable of distributing the sterilization liquid, increasing the area of ​​contact with the disinfectant on surfaces and creating a greater force of effect on solid surfaces. The size of the droplets reaches about (7.5 µm), which enables the sterile solution to be combined with bacteria and germs and killing them. The speed of these drops reaches 80 meters per second.

Regarding the mechanism of work, Al-Tawil explained: “The cabin works to withdraw the sterile solution from the tank and pumps it towards the sprinklers, and the connection between the pump and the sprinklers is done using a set of tubes.”

It is noteworthy that this step comes within the al-Abbas's (P) Holy Shrine’s endeavor to enhance its preventive and precautionary measures and the health safety of the visitor, and that all the materials involved in sterilization are materials licensed by the relevant authorities and do not affect the visitor’s health, in addition to the cabin, which also works within authorized specifications.
