The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine helps more than (2000) people.

The Engineering Projects Department in the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine announced the completion of the rehabilitation and operation of the water desalination plant in one of the Banyikya (Al-Nur) sub-districts in the Al-Najaf Governorate.

And that was after an appeal was received by the Holy Shrine from the people of this region, which is inhabited by more than (2000) people, distributed among (500) houses; In order to repair that station so it returns to be operational with a production capacity that meets the needs of the residents.

The head of the aforementioned department, Eng. Dia Majid Al-Sa'egh, told Al-Kafeel Network: “The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has adopted many service projects, including those directly related to the life of the Iraqi citizen, and has worked within its capabilities to help him as much as possible. And among the most important problems that these projects have contributed to solving are treating the scarcity of water and its lack of purity, as it established a number of water desalination stations (RO stations) in various places, including this area, which directed its appeal to the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine. ".

For his part, the supervisor of these works, Engineer Bassam Al-Hashimi, stated: “We formed a technical team that conducted a site detection of the station and clarified what materials it needed, then we proceeded with the works according to a plan developed for this purpose. The team repaired the station and made it operational as a desalination plant with a capacity of (30,000) liters per hour, replacing about (80%) of its parts, as the parts of the system were replaced by using pumps, filters and transmission tubes of international origin, in addition to providing them with water tanks that are compatible With the size of the station ».

He added, "The work was not limited to this aspect only, but also the re-establishment and wiring of the electricity and control systems and the sources of their water supply, and now it is working with all its capacity. Noting that the people of the region thanked the al-Abbas’s (p) holy shrine for this initiative and humanitarian work."
