The Governor of the Karbala, the engineer Nassif Jassem Al-Khattabi, confirmed that the projects of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine have greatly contributed to the advancement of the agricultural reality of the city.
Al-Khattabi added during his field tour, on Saturday, to a number of farms of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine: “The farms of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine are among the projects that have made clear and remarkable progress in the agricultural sector of the city of Karbala, as it seeks through its projects to achieve self-sufficiency in the market.”
He continued, "We support the efforts of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in these projects. Our thanks go to the cadres of these farms, which progress will lead to a boom in the agricultural reality, whether on the level of strategic crops or others."
For his part, the Director of Karbala Agriculture Department, Engineer Razzaq Al-Taie, said: “We witnessed during our tour today, accompanied by the Governor, a clear progress in the work of the farms of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, as we saw continuous and fruitful work by the cadres of these farms.”
Al-Taie said: “In order to support these farms, we will send specialized cadres to look at them and give consultations of all kinds, in addition to our endeavor with the Ministry of Agriculture to include the crops of these farms in the marketing plan, so that they will be a great tributary to support the directorate’s plan.”
