The success of a medical team at the al-Kafeel Hospital in treating a one-year-old girl with congenital heart anomalies.

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine was able to treat a one-year-old girl who suffers from congenital heart anomalies.
A specialist in pediatric heart surgery at the hospital, Dr. Ahmed Aboudi said: “Our medical team has succeeded in conducting an open heart operation for a one-year-old girl who suffers from tetralogy of Fallot, a cyanotic disease that makes the child in a state of constant lack of oxygen,” indicating: "It was a difficult surgery because all the body systems were exhausted due to lack of oxygen. "
Dr. Aboudi added: "The normal oxygen level in the body is between (95-100)%, while the child's oxygen level was only (40%)."
The pediatric cardiac surgeon affirmed: “Cardiac intensive care is the second stage of treatment, and it is available in the hospital and has an experienced medical and nursing staff who has experience in dealing with children of very low weights and those suffering from complex congenital deformities, in addition to the availability of technologies and devices as well as the necessary medical supplies, and this is what contributes to the success of these operations."
