Completion of rehabilitation of a road near the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.

The staffs of the engineering maintenance and construction department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine have completed the rehabilitation of one of the roads near the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), which is located next to the Saqi courtyard, and which benefits visitors and the owners of the shops on one side of it.
The supervisor of the implementation of this work, Mr. Hassan Abdel-Hussein, told the Al-Kafeel Network: “The rehabilitation of this street came after the completion of the cladding of the Saqi courtyard overlooking the gate of the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) that is adjacent to it, in order to make it harmonious with its surrounding. Several works were conducted, including the uprooting and removing the old asphalt, and the establishment of an integrated infrastructure of sewage, rainwater, etc., and linking it with the Saqi courtyard system."
He added: “After that, this street was clad with muqarnas tiles in beautiful colors, making it easier for the visitor to move around. These works contribute to the preparation of the old city roads and its main and secondary streets, and even those surrounding the holy courtyard, to highlight the city of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) in its most beautiful form. Noting that all the works were carried out in a manner that preserves the general shape of the street."
