Continuous cleaning campaigns carried out by the staff of the Cleanliness Division.

The staff of the Cleanliness Division of the Service Affairs Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine continues its extensive cleaning campaign after the end of the ceremonies of the Ziyarat Arba'een.

The aforementioned division official, Mohamad Ahmad Jawad, said: "Immediately after the ceremonies of the Ziyarat Arba'een, our staff carried out an extensive cleaning campaign to the vicinity of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and a number of streets leading to it."

He added: "Our Division is used to carry out this campaign every year after the end of the Ziyarat, mobilizing all its staff and machines, noting that the campaign will not be limited to the old city and the vicinity of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, but also will include the entrances to the city of Karbala and a number of its streets."

Jawad continued, "The work is going on 24 hours a day, using the various machines and garbage trucks of the department, until the completion of cleaning the old city, and then cleaning the external areas and streets."
