A medical team at the Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine succeeded in performing an operation for fixing vertebrae and implanting artificial cartilage for a patient in his forties.
The specialist in neurosurgery at the hospital, Dr. Khaled al-Sarraj said: "The patient suffers from the return of herniated discs in multiple places, and our medical team reopened the vertebrae and then fixed them, and implanted artificial cartilages," adding that: "The operation was successful and the patient's condition is stable."
Al-Sarraj added, "The modern medical technologies available at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital, which are comparable to what is available in major international hospitals, have mainly helped in performing this type of operations."
