Successful implantation of complex fractures in a young man who was injured in a traffic accident.

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital affiliated with the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine announced that it had succeeded in fixing multiple fractures of a young man who had a traffic accident, while noting that the young man's condition was complicated because of his dislocation of the vertebrae and the joint connecting them to the hip bones.
A specialist in orthopedics and fractures, Dr. Mustafa Walid in a press interview: "We received a young man from one of the Iraqi provinces with multiple fractures in the hip joint, as a result of a traffic accident in his city," adding that "he needed a quick operation to stabilize these fractures."
Walid pointed out that: "The case of this young man was complicated, because he also had a dislocation of the vertebrae, the joint between the sacral vertebrae and the hip, and a defect in the nerves surrounding him," stressing: "The success of the process of fixing broken fractures in the hip at a high rate, as a result of the availability of modern devices and technologies in Al-Kafeel Hospital, and the operation lasted six hours and special materials were used for such cases of fractures.”
