The staff of the Engineering Maintenance and Construction Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has taken the first steps to establish a factory to wash its carpets and furnishings, with modern designs and implementation according to mechanisms that are compatible with the nature of the facility.
The step of establishing the factory came after the increase in the work carried out by the current factory, as a result of the expansion witnessed by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the increase in the areas that use these carpets, and its small size compared to the work assigned to it. This provides a clean carpets that are appropriate to the level of this holy shrine and its visitors. In addition to washing the furnishings of the Hussayni processions and other parties free of charge.
The engineer of the project, Ammar Salah, who is supervising its implementation, explained to Al-Kafeel Network that: “The factory is being built on an area of (7,000) square meters, in one of the sites of the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine close to Ibrahimiya checkpoint. Designs have been prepared in accordance with the requirements of the plant, which is an iron structure (steel structure) that will be divided according to special measurements, and according to the work of each production line in it.”
He added: "The first steps of the work were to determine the area and conduct an examination of the soil, with the extraction of a certain level of it and replacing it with another type, in parallel with the grading works according to each layer of the floor, and then a specific layer of gravel will be spread so that the construction work begins. And the works are going according to what was planned, with working hours ranging from (12 to 14) hours.”
