Two teachers from Al-Kafeel University obtain an invention patent

Professor Dr. Mustafa Ghazi Abbasi teacher at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Al-Kafeel University of the Board of Education and Higher Education in the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, obtained invention patent issued by the Central Standardization and Quality Control Agency of the Iraqi Ministry of Planning entitled (Effect of alcoholic water of Hamoul plant in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis in rats).

In addition, the Associate Dean of the College of Dental Medicine for Administrative Affairs, Basic Sciences Branch at Al-Kafeel University, Dr. Abdul-Saheb Saad Yahya Jubran, obtained another patent under the title (A new method for the production of nano-particulates iron oxide and treatment of anemia caused by iron deficiency), which focused on the development that took place to bio-synthesis of nanoparticles using micro-organisms as a friendly environment way in the synthesis of nanoparticles because of its simplicity for being non-toxic, and different from drugs that act as supplements to food shortage of iron (such as ferrous sulphate), which is the most drug commonly used to treat anemia caused by iron deficiency indicating that Iron supplementation with this medicine can lead to unwanted side effects, and this study has resulted in the manufacture of iron oxide nanoparticles and iron oxide-chitosan nanoparticles.

On this occasion, President of the University Professor was presented by Dr. Nawras al-Dahan congratulated the two professors stating: We are proud of these achievements by professors of our university, which reflect the culture of innovation and scientific research and which is keen to always enrich and support, stressing that the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and its Senior Official is always keen to be pioneers In the development of creative ideas, as well as the development of scientific research.

The two professors, in turn, clarified: We are proud of obtaining the patent and we are pleased to extend our thanks to Al-Kafeel University for its continuous support in completing these projects using applied research, and benefiting from the advanced academic facilities.
