The al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine is covered with black on the death anniversary of Lady Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her)

A great figure who was chosen by the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) to be his wife to be a second mother for the children of the Immaculate Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her) after her martyrdom. And this great woman's screams are still reverberating between earth and sky while mourning Imam al-Hussayn, al-Abbas and the rest of Ashura martyrs and captives (peace be upon them all).

She is the venerable Immaculate Lady Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her), which death anniversary will be tomorrow Monday 13th of Jumada al-Thaniya 1443 AH, corresponding to January 17, 2022. And to commemorate this sad occasion and to present the condolences to her son Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has prepared a condolence program.

The walls of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine were covered with black banners, to highlight the great position and status of this virtuous lady (may God’s peace be upon her) and the sadness felt by the believers in this occasion.

It is to recall that the venerable Lady Umm al-Baneen; wife of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon both of them) died on the thirteenth of Jumada II of the year 64 AH. Her name is Fatima daughter of Huzam al-Kilabiyah al-'Ameriyah, and she was given the title "Oum al-Baneen [Mother of boys]" because she had four sons, all of whom were martyred in Karbala tragedy, supporting the Master of martyrs Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him). Her death was in Madinah and she was buried in Baqi' cemetery.
