Libraries of Dhi Qar Governorate and their authors join the project of the authority file for Iraqi authors

(84) public, private, school, academic and specialized libraries, in addition to (178) authors and their books from Dhi Qar Governorate joined the authority file project, which is one of the projects of the Center for Cataloging and Information Systems in the Library and House of Manuscripts of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine of the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department. As it was completed adding its data within the project's website http://afiqa.net to join the rest of the governorates, and work came to add other Iraqi libraries and authors.
The project provides its services free of charge and is concerned with Iraqi authors and everything related to their books and their full biographies, in addition to libraries of all kinds and names, and work on archiving and preserving them, making it easier to view them and identify the exact location of those books in Iraqi libraries; To save the effort and trouble of the brothers searching for specific sources.
The authority file is a global file used by most developed countries, and it is the first and only electronic file in the Arab world. And the center and its staff seek to include the largest number of Iraqi libraries and authors within its database.
