The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine concludes its central celebration by commemorating the birth anniversary of Imam as-Sajjad (peace be upon him)

The al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine concluded this evening, Tuesday, the fourth of the blessed month of Sha'ban, its annual central celebration to commemorate the blessed birth of the Sha'ban, which festive activities lasted for three days.

Amidst the atmosphere of joy and celebration on these blessed days, the activities of the closing day, which witnessed the presence of visitors and servants of the holy shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reciter of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, Sayed Haydar Gelukhan al-Musawi.

It was followed by a speech celebrating the birth anniversary of Imam as-Sajjad (peace be upon him), delivered by Sayed Adnan al-Musawi from the Religious Affairs Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, beginning by extending congratulations and blessings to those present on this occasion, stating that "the revival of the matter of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), is of great importance, and should be taken as a station for drawing lessons from their lives.”

Al-Musawi continued by referring to quotes from the life of Imam Ali as-Sajjad (peace be upon him), who despite the hardships in his life, was able to teach true Islam to the few believers remaining after the martyrdom of his father (peace be upon him), highlighting the virtues of the Imam in addition to his presentation of the contents of worship to be realized, according to the sound approach of Imam as-Sajjad and Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

Al-Musawi also stressed the importance of following the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and tracing their biography, in true ways of worship and good education, pointing out that the family is the basic seed of success in creating an educated generation aware of the teachings of the holy imams (peace be upon them) and their honorable life.

After that, the cultural competition for the Treatise of rights of Imam Zayn al-‘Abideen (peace be upon him) was announced, which was held by the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs in cooperation with the Media Department of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine. The questions were distributed to the attendees and answers should be given to the permanent book exhibition of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine in the Area between the Two Holy Shrines, for which valuable prizes have been allocated to the top ten whose names will be announced on Sha'ban 26.

In the end, Sheikh Ali al-Saadi and the reciter Laith Rahim al-Obaydi, from the readers of the Scientific Academy of the Holy Quran at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, recited blessed Quranic verses through a Quranic forum held within the celebration.
