The success of a qualitative heart operation for a seventy-years-old patient at Al-Kafeel Hospital

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital managed to save the life of a patient suffering from blockage of four arteries in the heart.

"We operated on a seventy-seven years-old patient who was suffering from chest pain and shortness of breath, and according to the diagnostic catheter report, he had a blockage in four arteries," said Turkish doctor Yusuf Abdul Luf, a cardiac surgeon at the hospital.

He added, " Despite his old age, the operation was performed successfully and age did not stand in the way of saving him, as his pulse returned after being isolated from the heart machine and he was transferred to intensive care, where he spent two days and then to his own room to receive medical care until he recovered.”

"Most of the patients who suffer from heart failure and to whom we perform operations, have not been received by any heart centers because of the high risk of operating them, but the medical staff at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital was able to save the patient because of the presence of advanced devices," concluded Dr. Abdul Luf.
