Concluding the activities of honoring the abaya-wearing students on university campus

This Friday morning, the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine concluded the activities of the second day of the central ceremony to honor the students wearing the Iraqi abaya on university campus, with its sixth edition in the universities and colleges of the province of Babylon, in which more than a thousand students participated.

The closing event was held in the Hall of Sheikh al-Kulayni complex in the presence of the secretary general of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine; Sayed Mustafa Murtadha Dhea al-Din, a number of its officials, in addition to a group of parents of the students.

After reciting verses from the Hoyl Quran and reading Surah Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq, and listening to the national anthem and the hymn of the holy shrine (the melody of pride), there was a speech of the general secretariat of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine delivered by Dr. Ahmed Sabih al-Kaabi, in which he explained that "the mind and heart are two pillars that cooperate in the formation of a balanced woman's personality, and it makes no sense to feed the mind with science and knowledge without feeding the heart and conscience with high moral religious values and principles, the most prominent of these values is chastity, modesty, and sobriety, which are values that represent the Islamic Abaya..."

This was followed by a speech of the Iraqi Abaya project in the province of Babylon delivered by Mr. Ammar al-muhawili, in which he stated, "Ten years has passed on the establishment of this project that is organized under the shadow of the tent of the Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and after being adopted by one university, now is spread in twenty-five national scientific edifices, and we are going, God willing, to promote this project at the national and international levels with the support of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine".

The ceremony included recitation of poems and chants, then honoeing the second group of the celebrated female students amid expressions of praise for this initiative. The conclusion was then a group ziyarat of the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), and then getting the blessing of having a meal at the host restaurant of the holy shrine.

It is worth mentioning that this celebration was organized by the University and School Relations Division of the public relations department at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, within the framework of the Al.Kafeel National Youth project, in cooperation with the Office of its Senior Official for women's Affairs and the division of Al-Kafeel women's religious schools, with the support of a number of departments of the holy shrine.
