The Hall of honor of the Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine hosted the annual Condolence Council to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Sajjad (peace be upon him), on the twenty-fifth of the holy month of Muharram.

The official of the speech Division of al-Hussayni reporting; Sheikh Abdul Sahib al-Taie, said that " the condolence Council is held annually to commemorate this sad anniversary, and shed light on a part from the biography of Imam Zayn al-Abideen (peace be upon him). The council lasts for five days starting on Saturday (Muharram 21)".

He added that "the council includes two lectures, the first after the Dohr and Asr prayers is delivered by Sheikh Ali al-Sa'edi, and the second in the evening is delivered by Sayed Ihsan al-Hakeem, Mulla Jum'a Hamed and Haidar al-Saghir al-Kadhemi".

Al-Taie explained that "the topics of the lectures in both parts deal with glimpses from the biography of Imam Zayn al-Abideen (peace be upon him), how he witnessed with his own eyes the a-Taf tragedy and the martyrdom of his father al-Hussayn and the people of his house (peace be upon them), and how divine wisdom wanted to preserve the lineage of the Imamate in him, to complete the March of his father al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) in confronting tyrants and spreading the teachings of True Islam".

"They also touched on some of Imam al-Sajjad's (peace be upon him) personal strength and foresight, as well as knowledge and piety, and how he sought to devote his life to highlighting the characteristics of the Hussayni revolution and achieving its goals in the face of the Umayyad project, as well as evoking the misfortune of Imam al-Sajjad (peace be upon him) at the end of each council," he added.

It is noteworthy that this council is held annually within the Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) reporting project, which is dedicated to commemorating the occasions of the imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), including this sad occasion, which we commemorate these days.
