On the first of Rabi' Awal, replacing the black flag of the holy dome to the red one

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine replaced the black flag of the dome of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) to the red one with the advent of the month of Rabi ' al-Awwal.

The Black banners and flags were removed from the corridors and walls of the Holy Courtyard as well as the outer walls of the holy shrine.

The hussayni mourning season begins from the first day of Muharram to the last day of Safar, during which the two holy shrines in Karbala are covered in black and the two holy flags are replaced from red to black.
