The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine continues its preparations for the establishment of the second edition of the commander of the faithful (peace be upon him) international Cultural festival in India ..

Among the events and festivals that are sponsored and organised by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, the International Cultural Festival of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in its second edition will be held in the city of Lucknow in India, under the theme: "The Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) The righteous of the faithful and the heir of the Prophets' science", from 13 to17 Rajab 1435 AH corresponding to (13-17 May 2014), with the participation of the holy shrines of Imam Ali, Imam Al-Hussayn and Imam Al-Kadhem (peace be upon them) as well as the Secretariat of the Iraqi Shiite shrines.

The Preparatory Committee of the festival along with the supporting committees have spared no effort to set up the best image for this festival, which has become an opportunity to exchange ideas of Muslims and to enhance the role of the followers of the Ahl al-Bayt's (peace be upon them) school.
The events of this festival are being held in the largest Hussaynya in the world, in one of the cities representing Islam in a country of multiple religions and sects; the city of Lucknow, capital of the state of Uttar Pradesh in India.

The preparations for the establishment of this festival was two pronged: first, in the holy city of Karbala in the holy shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), where complementary plan has been prepared by holding a series of meetings, followed by another stage which is the implementation of this plan on the ground where this festival will be.

And then fter taking the approvals for the establishment of the festival from Lucknow's local government, we proceeded to prepare the designs special to the halls displaying the products of the holy shrines, and to work on the creation of all logistics needed for the events of the festival, starting with the hall of the scientific conference, the pavilions and places where the opening ceremony, Quranic evenings and other events will be held.

In addition to the preparations for the establishment of a photo gallery, the preparations included also the creation of 36000 printed versions of the publications issued by the Department of Intellectual & Cultural Affairs in the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, like books, children's stories, pictures of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine and the previous festival's guide, all in Urdu.

In the same time, advertising campaigns were initiated in printed and audio-visual media as well as the distribution of festival presentation brochures in the principal entrances and squares of the city. In addition to the invitations that will be sent to the most eminent personalities of the city in religious, cultural and intellectual fields.

The Cultural Festival of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) is held for the veneration of Ahl Al-Bayt's (Peace be upon them) rituals, in order to spread their culture, their approach and their biographies that teach the world the true meaning of Islam, and to confirm the great role of the Iraqi holy sites in general and of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine in particular, by the establishment and sponsorship of festivals, seminars and conferences inside and outside the country, showing how they became in record time a guidance beacon for all and a brilliant model at all levels.
