Within the events of second edition of the annual international cultural festival of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) sponsored by the Al-Abbas's (p) holy Shrine, and that is currently taking place in the largest Hussienieh of the world; Hussienieh Imam Bara in the city of Lucknow, the exhibition of intellectual and cultural publications of the holy shrines and the general secretariat of the sacred sanctuaries in Iraq was inaugurated during the afternoon of Tuesday 13 Rajab 1435 corresponding the 13 May 2014.
The opening ceremony was attended by a number of religious, academic and cultural figures from inside and outside the city (Lucknow) and who were invited to attend the activities of this annual devotional festival, in addition to a large crowd of citizens and students of Hawzas and religious schools in the same city, led by the delegations and representatives of the Iraqi holy shrines of Imam Ali, Imam Al-Hussayn, Imam Al-Kadhem and Al-Abbas (peace be upon them) as well as the Secretariat of the sacred sanctuaries.
The exhibition in this edition is distinguished from the previous one in term of quality and quantity, as it included the intellectual publications of all holy shrines in Iraq.
The responsible of the delegation of the holy shrine of Al-Abbas (p) Mr. Talal Al-Beer the General councillor of its general Secretary has explained to the Al-Kafeel Global Network which was present at the exhibition: " the Exhibition of the intellectual publications, included within the events of the festival of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) has an extreme importance as it supplements the cultural movement with new ideas and developed visions that are carried out in order to display a high value to the cultural scene, and which aims to develop and entrench awareness of the true ideology through the organisation of events, like what is reflected by this exhibition in India. "
He added : " the pavilions displaying productions of the holy shrine offer a large number of books marked by positive balanced influential methodology, in Arabic, Urdu and English , in addition to children tales with pictures, magazines and brochures, introducing these holy shrines and their activities. It includes also leaflets in English directed at non-Muslim Indians, aiming to introduce Islam and to demonstrate the oneness of God the Almighty. In addition to all of that, a large number of pictures of the holy shrines was printed along with a small summary about each of picture or poster of/about the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him). A cultural contest as well as a number of other interactive activities are in also in the program, along with a gallery of photos printed in the Indian city of Lucknow.
It is also worth mentioning that all of these publications are written, translated, designed and realised by the units, sections and departments of the holy shrines, and which were distributed free of charge to the attendees of these pavilions. The exhibition is also provided by big screens displaying websites, Islamic documentaries and presentation films of the holy shrines, in addition to the adoption of a special conception in the division of the pavilions, an inspired design from the Iwans of the holy shrines that generates a sense of spiritual connection to the attendees of the exhibition."
