A medical team removes a tumor from the brain stem of a patient at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital

A medical team at Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital was able to remove a tumor mass from the brain stem of a patient whose life was in danger.

The head of the team, Dr. Ahmad Adnan, said that" the patient was suffering from weakness in the right side and difficulty in movement with a severe headache, and after conducting tests for him, a lump was found in the brain stem and diagnosed with a brain catheter as benign,"pointing to the presence of bleeding inside the tumor.

"Our medical team successfully removed the tumor mass from a patient's brain with the help of a surgical microscope,"he added.

According to Adnan, such operations can only be performed in limited specialized centers, because they need special devices and materials, stressing "The patient have now the possibility of movement three days after the surgery".
