The Tenth International Book Fair of Karbala: A brilliant platform for the definition of the Shiite Sanctuaries..

The participation at the Tenth International Book Fair of Karbala is not limited to the one of the holy shrines and the the publishing houses from within and outside Iraq, but also of the honourable Shiite Sanctuaries with an active presence within the allocated spaces at the dedicated section in the exhibition (section of the holy shrines and honourable sanctuaries), the General Secretariat of the Iraqi honourable sanctuaries participated with six sanctuaries of: (Zayd the martyr, Al-Qasim son of imam Al-Kadhim, Maitham Tamar, Rashid Al-hajari, Salman Al-Mohammadi, Saeed bin Jubair (peace be upon them all)) in addition to the participation of As-Sahla Mosque and the General Secretariat of the Kufa mosque and sanctuaries affiliated to it.

Besides the participation of the sanctuaries from outside Iraq, represented by the holy sanctuaries of Sayeda Maasooma, and of Shah Abdul 'Adheem. In a great image showing the natural role of the holy sanctuaries in spreading the culture and thought of Ahl Al Bayt (peace be upon them), by exhibition of a collection of photos, artwork, posters and informative folders about these holy sanctuaries, which allowed the Tenth International Book Fair of Karbala to be a brilliant platform for the definition of the Shiite Sanctuaries.

It is noteworthy that the Karbala International Book Fair is one of the events of the International Cultural Festival of the Martyrdom's Spring organized and funded integrally by the General Secretaries of both Holy Shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon them) since its inception nine years ago, to commemorate the birth of the grand son of our saint Prophet (May Allah pray on him and his pure lineage) Imam Aba Abdillah Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-abbas (peace be upon them).

The participating countries in the Book Exhibition are 11 Arab and foreign countries, namely: (Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Morocco, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iran, USA and UK) with different disciplines and fields, thus the participation did not include only religious books, but also the academic, cultural and scientific areas as well as those related to children and women, so the exhibition would be integral and comprehensive in terms of title and specialization, with 175 publishing houses.
