The Engineering Maintenance and Construction Department is redoubling its efforts with the advent of the holy month of Muharram

The Engineering Maintenance and Construction Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine has doubled the efforts of its staff coinciding with the advent of the holy month of Muharram.

The official of the automatic fire unit of the warning and fire system Division in the Department, engineer Haider Ibrahim, said that "the Division has worked to double the efforts of its staff in installing and following up automatic fire and alarm systems, in conjunction with the advent of the holy month of Muharram".

He added that"the Division has intensified its work in the maintenance and inspection of systems and fire extinguishers at all sites of the Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine, especially those in direct contact with the Holy Sanctuary and the sites located on the axes of the entrance to Baghdad, Babylon and Najaf, in order to secure them from the risks of fire, especially with high temperatures".

According to Ibrahim, the staff of the Department periodically inspects the fire extinguishers located on the Holy Sanctuary and other sites at the holy shrine within a period not exceeding 4 months, to ensure their durability and continued operation,"he said.
