The Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine participated in the National Conference of Muslim scholars in Senegal, which was held under the title (peaceful coexistence between Muslim sects).
The director of the African Studies Center of the Department, Sheikh Saad Sattar al-Shammari, said that"the representative of the department in Senegal and the director of the Mukhtar Center for Quranic and Islamic studies, Sheikh Mustafa Diba, participated in the National Conference of Muslim scholars."
He added that " the center's participation is the result of continuous cooperation with representatives of scientific, research and social institutions in African countries," pointing to "the center's field presence in the African community, where it works to implement humanitarian and intellectual programs, and spread the concepts of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), with the aim of promoting peaceful coexistence and love, and rejecting extremism and terrorism."
For his part, in a speech delivered at the conference on behalf of the center, Diba stressed the importance of joint cooperation and uniting efforts, spreading the spirit of love and peace in society, and gave an explanation about the various programs implemented by the center in Senegal, including sponsoring humanitarian, educational and Quranic projects.
