Al-Kafeel Museum discusses with Imam al-Hussayn's (p) Shrine Museum ways to enhance joint cooperation

The delegation of the Al-Kafeel Museum of Antiquities and Manuscripts at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine discussed with the responsible of the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine Museum ways to enhance joint cooperation in the field of maintenance and museum display methods.

This came during the visit of the delegation headed by the director of the museum Department; Sayed Sadiq Lazim al-Zaidi and his assistant, Dr. Shawqi al-Mousawi, accompanied by a number of employees of the Imam al-Hussayn Museum (peace be upon him) affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).

Al-Zaidi said that"on the occasion of the birth anniversaries of the holy imams (peace be upon them) and within the program of mutual visits with the museums of the shrines, the delegation visited the Imam al-Hussayn Museum (peace be upon him) of the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) shrine, to discuss developments and ways to enhance cooperation between the two parties".

"The two holy shrines are working on the construction of new buildings, and there is a need for coordination and exchange of ideas on maintenance and museum display, as well as the selection of pieces to be displayed there,"he added.

For his part, the director of the Imam al-Hussayn Museum (peace be upon him), Mr. Ghassan al-Shahristani, said that "the delegation of the Al-Kafeel Museum offered us a marble from the sanctuary of the master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), preceded by presenting an introductory brief about the treasures displayed and stored in the Imam al-Hussayn's (p) holy shrine Museum and the most prominent activities carried out by the Imam al-Hussayn Museum (peace be upon him)".
