The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine has sent 400 tons of humanitarian aid to support and relieve the Lebanese people as part of the second convoy.
The head of the Relief Committee, Mr. Mohammed Al-Ashigar, said that "the second convoy launched by land from the Holy Karbala included 40 vehicles carrying on board 400 tons of relief materials and necessary supplies needed by the Lebanese people, in addition to 3 fuel carriers with a capacity of 36 thousand liters".
He added that"the campaign comes in response to the call of the supreme religious authority in Najaf and the directives of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, to do what contributes to alleviating the suffering of the Lebanese people and securing their humanitarian needs."
The second convoy was equipped with all the various medical and food supplies needed by the displaced Lebanese, whether they are in Syria or inside Lebanon, in addition to mobile clinics to help the wounded, and try to transfer them to the Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital in Karbala.
The holy shrine is preparing to send other convoys in coordination with the Iraqi government, the Iraqi Red Crescent, and the relevant authorities in Syria to deliver them to the affected people.
