The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine announced the start of an expanded relief campaign to provide shelters for displaced Lebanese in Syria, as part of the ongoing relief campaign to support the Lebanese people.
The relief and Support Committee of the holy shrine has set up a number of hotels to provide safe housing for displaced Lebanese families and provide them with all their basic needs, including food, clothing and medical care.
The committee announced the introduction of the Central Kitchen, which was established to provide thousands of meals a day to the displaced, in a step aimed at alleviating the suffering of the bereaved families and ensuring their access to healthy and integrated meals.
The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine sent two convoys of humanitarian aid, the first was by air through Baghdad International Airport, and the second by land from the Holy Karbala, which included 40 vehicles carrying on board 400 tons of relief materials and necessary supplies needed by the Lebanese people, in addition to 3 fuel carriers with a capacity of 36,000 liters.
The campaign comes in response to the call of the supreme religious authority in Najaf and the directives of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, to do what contributes to alleviating the suffering of the Lebanese people and securing their humanitarian needs.
The holy shrine is preparing to send the third convoy by land, after collecting in-kind and material assistance with the participation of people, processions and Husseini bodies in Iraq, as part of its campaign to relieve the Lebanese people, after the recent attacks.
The representative offices of the hussayni processions in the Iraqi provinces, affiliated to the hussayni rites and processions Department, launched a donation campaign and collected in-kind assistance in cooperation with the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine.
The holy shrine opened its warehouses to collect food, medical and necessary supplies, in addition to the stations located inside the courtyard of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (Peace be upon him), to collect donations and material assistance to deliver them to Lebanon, and prepared its service complexes to receive the displaced Lebanese in Holy Karbala.
