Al-Abbas's (P) Shrine launches the activities of the Second Women Festival in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her) in Pakistan

The Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine in Karachi, Pakistan, has launched the activities of the Second Women Festival to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Lady az-Zahra (peace be upon her).

The festival is organized by the Institute of the heritage of the prophets for electronic Theological Studies/Urdu branch of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the holy shrine, and lasts for several days.

The opening ceremony was attended by the director of the Office of the Senior Offical of the holy shrine; Dr. Afdhal al-Shami, the head of the Religious Affairs Department, Sheikh Salah al-Karbalai, the assistant to the head of the gifts and vows Department, Mr. Mohammed jaloukhan, a number of officials of the holy shrine, in addition to many Hawza and academic figures.

In his speech delivered during the launch of the festival, al-Shami said, "it is no secret that the holy shrines in general and the Al-Abbas's (p) shrine in particular are constantly seeking to establish various activities aimed at preserving the Islamic identity and strengthening the community's connection with Allah Almighty and his holy prophet and the Ahl al-Bayt (may Allah's prayers be upon them), including this festival, in which we recall the blessed biography of Our Lady of the worlds(peace be upon her), which will be accompanied by the establishment of the second age of ordination program for a group of girls in the city of Karachi".

For his part, the festival coordinator, Sheikh Nasser Abbas, said that "the festival will include holding a research session, reciting poems from popular poetry, in addition to a special session on women research, and will organize a graduation ceremony for a group of university students, in addition to holding a large conference of leading Muslim scholars, in addition to raising the banner of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) on the campus of Al-Kawthar University."

He pointed out that"the festival will be interspersed with field tours of the delegation in multiple cities in Pakistan, to hold popular festivals in commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her), and to raise the flags of loyalty to Aba Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in those areas."
