Maintenance work continues for the square floor between the two holy shrines

The staff of the department between the Two Holy Shrines at the Al-Abbas's(p) holy shrine continues the maintenance of the square floor between the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them).

The official of the general maintenance division in the Department, Engineer Mohammed Jassim Al-Yasari, said that "our staff continues its efforts in maintaining the affected areas in the central square, between the shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas(peace be upon them), as part of a comprehensive plan to preserve the safety and aesthetics of the place".

"The works include removing the (Alabaster) and replacing the worn-out one with a new one, in addition to changing the damaged lower cement layer," he added, noting that "these works are carried out periodically in order to provide a safe and suitable environment for visitors."

The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine is keen to carry out continuous maintenance works aimed at preserving the historical aesthetic of the holy area.
